There have been celebrations from the large Manchester United contingent here in the Football Transfer Tavern after reports claimed that Mourinho had landed his first deal of an exciting summer.

The former Chelsea manager is set for a busy few weeks before pre-season begins as he and the powers that be at Old Trafford look to build a side capable of challenging for the Premier League title once again whilst also competing in Europe.

And, according to reports from The Sun, a source as confirmed that Mourinho’s move for Benfica defender Victor Lindelof is a “done deal.”

Furthermore, the 22-year-old has supposedly been telling ‘pals’ that he cannot wait to complete his move to Manchester United, which looks set to be finalised on Wednesday for a fee of £35m.

Our landlord reckons that the deal for Lindelof, who the club have been chasing this summer, could well be a watershed moment for United this summer and really kick-start a number of deals over the coming weeks, asreports suggest that a deal for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is getting closer and closer.

United fans, we want to hear from you! How excited are you about the names being linked with Old Trafford this summer? Let us know in the comments below…
